Sea World Homeschool Day

Yesterday was homeschool day at Sea World San Antonio!  David took the day off and we went together as a family.  We had so much fun!  The park was open from 9:30-1:30 at the discounted rate of $8/person (D and E were free).  We brought in all our own food and parking was free - what a deal!

One of the kids favorites was the Dolphin Cove.

We were able to see the dolphins up close...

and feed them!  Here is C giving one a fish.

 A and B giving them a pat.

 They loved their food.

A loved the little baby in this photo.

We were also able to feed the ducks...

and watch the flamingos.  The babies are so cute next to their parents.

And of course, I love the shows.  Yesterday was special because we not only got to see the animals perform but we also got a sneak peak look into how they train their animals.

Getting ready for the Pacific white-sided dolphin and Beluga whale show!

 They can really jump.

 Waving to the audience.

The Beluga whales were so beautiful.  Sea World has an amazing breeding program and we were able to see this whale's baby too!

 Amazing.

The grand finale!

Oh Sarah, it is so much fun. I always feel like a kid again there. I so love all the animals and the shows! Maura you should think about going. It cost us $63.25 for everything - $43.25 for tickets (I paid a small fee to reserve them) and $20 for five trays of fish - I really like interactive animal activities! With parking being free and them allowing all your own food it is so affordable!
