Nuby Foam Bath Animals & Nuby Foam Bath Letters and Numbers Reviews

My latest Nuby reviews are for the Nuby Foam Bath Animals and the Nuby Bath Letters and Numbers.

Here are the Nuby Bath Letters and Numbers

E got right to work hunting and finding different letters and numbers.  Here you can see that the letters and numbers easily float on water.

And D wanted to make some words!  And once wet, they easily stick to the bath tub wall.

Yeah for Nuby

E passing me a letter.

And here are the Nuby Foam Bath Animals

 D found a match!

E setting up a row of animals.  And just like the letters and numbers once wet, they easily stick to the bath tub wall.

Nuby Foam Bath Animal Fun - the animals easily float as well.

My Thoughts:  Both of these products are great additions for bath time.  They are colorful, fun and engaging.  I love that we can play games with them.  I can ask the girls to hunt for certain letters, numbers, colors, and animals.  The Foam Bath Animals come with 2 sets of 8 different animals (turtle, starfish, seahorse, shark, whale, octopus, crab and a fish) so we can also play matching games as well.  And of course we can make words and work on reading skills as well!  And you guys know how I feel about products that are educational and fun - score!  I would highly recommend these sets.  Check out the fun video below of E telling me the names of the Nuby Foam Bath Animals.

Grace Unplugged and Own It Reviews & Giveaway

Disclosure:  I was provided with both of these books to facilitate my reviews.  All opinions expressed are 100% my own.  Thanks so much to FlyBy and B&H Publishing for providing this information and sponsoring this giveaway.

I wanted to tell you about a new book I just finished reading, Grace Unplugged by Melody Carlson.  You may have seen the previews for the upcoming movie that releases October 4th.  The story centers around Grace Trey, and 18 year old singer/musician with amazing talent.  Many years ago her father, Johnny Trey, was in the music business and essentially was a one hit wonder before deciding that wasn't the path for him.  The father/daughter duo are both on the worship team of their church - Grace is under her father's leadership.  She feels the need to spread her wings and make decisions of her own (without really consulting or talking about it with her parents) and Grace finds herself spiraling into stardom, leaving behind a very tense relationship with her father.  Stardom is not all what Grace thought it would be and she finds her faith and morals put to varying tests along her journey.  Grace ultimately has to make the decision about her faith - does she really own it?  I am trying not to include any spoilers but I really enjoyed this book and the outcome.  I would highly recommend it.

Now, within the book - Grace is confronted with questions about her faith and she is given the book, Own It.

This book is a challenge for the reader to really take ownership of their faith and beliefs, not to just follow in the footsteps of parents, friends or other influencers.  I really liked seeing this book in person - it reminds me of how the Love Dare book really exists as it was presented in Fireproof.  And I think this is a great companion for those that read Grace Unplugged or see the movie.  This book will help solidify people who are on the fence or maybe don't understand what it means to have faith of their own.  Paired with the Bible, you will be well on your way to walking in your own faith and trusting God in that path.

Read more about these books and authors below.

About Grace Unplugged the Novel
Grace Trey is an 18 year old singer as passionate about her Christian faith as she is her phenomenal, God-given musical talent. Both traits come from her father, one hit wonder Johnny Trey who found Jesus after losing his chart success two decades ago.

When Grace encounters her own music break of a lifetime, the sudden dive into the "real world" puts her deeper beliefs to the test. Pop superstardom is just within reach but appears to require some spiritual compromise. Will Grace reject her faith, or will she own it?

Grace Unplugged is based on the motion picture of the same name starring AJ Michalka (Super 8) and Kevin Pollak (A Few Good Men) with performances by award-winning artists Chris Tomlin and Jamie Grace.

About Own It, Discover Your Faith in God
The movie Grace Unplugged tells the story of Grace Trey, an ideal Christian teenager who is also a phenomenal singer. But when she is pushed into the “real world” at the tender age of eighteen after getting the music break of a lifetime, her faith is put to the test.  Own It mirrors the film by asking what it means to really “own” your personal faith rather than just automatically following in the footsteps of parents, friends, or other influencers. Best-selling authors Hayley and Michael DiMarco help readers understand what to do when faith meets real world challenges.
Without solid beliefs, poor choices are likely to follow. You must take the time to really know who you are, who you are becoming, and who God made you to be. It's your personal faith . . . own it!

About the Grace Unplugged Author
Melody Carlson has sold more than five million books. A professional writer for twenty years, she recently received the Romantic Times Career Achievement Award. Melody has two grown sons and lives with her husband in the Pacific Northwest.

About the Own It Authors
Hayley DiMarco is the best-selling author of more than thirty books including Dateable, Marriable, Mean Girls, and The Woman of Mystery. She has been a featured speaker at Women of Faith, Precept National Women's Conference, and MOPS Intl. among others and has consulted on the creation and enhancement of some of the largest stadium events for teens and young women in North America.
Michael DiMarco is a skilled communicator and teacher who has authored more than a dozen bestselling books including the 2010 Christian Book of the Year for Youth, B4UD8 (Before You Date). He and his wife, author Hayley DiMarco, have one daughter and live in Nashville, Tennessee.

Sampling with Lunchables Jr. & Crowdtap

It has been awhile since I have been part of a sampling opportunity with crowdtap.  I was asked to try out the new Lunchables Jr. snacks.  They are designed to be convenient, wholesome and fun!  We have been trying to get together with different friends for awhile but sicknesses (thankfully we have been super healthy but this hasn't been the case with most of our friends) and allergies (a good friend of D's has peanut allergies) have made that more complicated than it should be.  So the kids and I decided to have a snack sampling of our own.

These are the two varieties that we were given to try: Ants on a Log and Very Beary Crunch.

Here is a side view of Ants on a Log - includes small container of peanut butter, raisins and honey graham sticks.

E is ready to try Very Beary Crunch: Ritz Bitz cheese cracker sandwiches, strawberry flavored dried apple pieces, and Teddy Grahams.

And we had fun playing a few games!

Of course, we made ants on a log!

D enjoying her snack time.

A Happy Snacker

Most of all, the kids enjoyed their snack.  All five kids enjoyed both of these snacks and it was interesting to see which they preferred.  A and B liked both but enjoyed Ants on a Log slightly more (they didn't really like the dried fruit).  C and E liked both but preferred the Very Beary Crunch (they didn't really like the dried fruit either though).  D gobbled up both but hands down preferred the Very Beary Crunch - she could not get enough of the strawberry flavored dried apple pieces (good to know!).  I am looking forward to trying the other varieties - Teddy Bear Picnic and Blueberry Bonanza.

These snacks are geared for kiddos 3 and older and they are available in over 4,000 Walmart stores nationwide.  I like that the packaging is recyclable but I do wonder if there is a more efficient way to pack these snacks without using so much plastic.  And I wish that all the varieties were friendlier for kids with allergies.  I am so thankful that my kids do not have any allergies (and we can enjoy them without concern)  but unfortunately this is not the case for everyone.

Have your kiddos tried the new Lunchables Jr.?  If so, what did you/they think?

Nuby Squid Squirter Review

I love being a Nuby Mommy Blogger.  We just received our new box last week and I am so excited about all of our new bath toys!  Stay tuned for my upcoming reviews which will include Squid Squirter, Foam Bath Letters and Numbers, Splish Splash bath time stacking cups, Foam Bath Animals and the Sea Scooper!  Oh, and there will be an awesome giveaway with one of them :).

Meet Squid Squirter

D (who is 3 1/2) learned how Squid worked rather quickly.

She was able to fill him up under water no problem.

And of course, make him Squirt!

E was a tad bit excited to have Squirt join our family.

E (who is almost 2) enjoyed Squirt as well.  She has not mastered the art of filling up Squirt yet but I think it won't be long.  She is able to get water into him on her own, just not completely fill him.

E hugging her new bath toy.

I was so impressed with how much power that the Nuby Squid Squirter had that we decided to have a little experiment.  The kids and Squirt and I went outside and determined how far he could indeed squirt.

E had fallen asleep so D was up first!

 At the starting line

And go...

D was able to shoot water out of Squid Squirter that went 9 feet!

C's turn - result 23 feet!

B's turn - 21 feet!

 A's turn - 35 feet!

Now, that is power!  This got me thinking, Squid Squirter not only works for bath time fun but he would also make a fabulous pool toy!

My thoughts:  Nuby Squid Squirter is colorful and fun.  My kids were engaged and entertained with him.  Squid Squirter definitely helps bath time become fun time.  I would be aware that Squid really squirts - as our experiment above shows!  You may need to direct your children where the best spots in your bathroom are to squirt him or you could have a bit of a mess.  Younger children may need a bit of assistance filling up the chamber with water and pushing down the handle but it won't be long before they have it completely figured out.

Read more about Squid Squirter below.

According to Nuby
