Daddy Daughter Date Night at Chick-fil-A

 Goodies

A few weeks ago David took all four girls on a date.  It was actually on E's birthday!  They participated in the Daddy Daughter Date Night at Chick-fil-A.

 Crafts Tissue Flower

They had a fun dinner along with cake, listened to a harpist, made craft flowers and then took a ride in a limo.  The girls are still talking about the limo ride.  I love that Chick-fil-A really put a lot of thought into this event and made it an awesome opportunity for David to really connect with the girls.  The girls each came home with a special bag of treats including a plush cow and their flowers.  We highly recommend this event.

Team Storytelling Activity

My favorite was reading the story that David and the older girls created on their date.  They picked the topic of their story to be a jungle adventure.  Then they took turns writing lines of the story but they couldn't look at the other persons lines.  It made for a fun story.  I love that they were thinking of some of the same things without knowing it.

Their Story (with a few spelling corrections):

I am going on an adventure! Suddenly 4 monkeys climbed down from the treetops and threw bananas and coconuts at the mean tiger while swinging on the long vines.  Then he swung on the vines hanging from the trees.  Everyone was so tired from all of this that they looked for a place to take a nap.  Then I saw a tiger!  Will it eat me?  But the tiger came back and looked very hungry!  Then she climbed a mountain almost 1,000 ft high.  Two baby crocodiles came out of the rushing river and everyone was too scared to swim.  Then I see a frog, "ribbit".  Finally there was a safe place to spend the night.  We couldn't wait for another adventure tomorrow!

 Chick-fil-A Mom goodies!

In other news, I am proud to say that I was selected to be on the Chick-fil-A Mom panel for the next year.  I love hearing about the latest news and giving opinions to a company that really cares.  Cheers to a great partnership CFA!
