Our
family had a fabulous day celebrating in true Star Wars style. We had
"themed" food throughout the day and watched Return of the Jedi to
finish the day together. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. I hope you enjoy seeing the various foods and treats that our family made today. These options would work great for a Star Wars themed party or event as well.
Princess Leia Cinnamon Buns
We
started out the day with cinnamon rolls, aka Princess Leia Buns. We
just made canned cinnamon rolls but you could get really fancy and make
your own from scratch if you wanted to.
Tie Fighter Smokies
For
lunch we made tie fighter smokies using little smokies and
breadsticks. You basically cut a breakdstick in half and use them to
form the tie fighter shape around the little smokies and bake them.

Tie Fighter Cheese and Crackers
We
also had tie fighter cheese and crackers. We glued our cheddar cheese
cubes to wheat crackers using a dab of cream cheese, pretty simple.
Yoda Soda
We made Yoda Soda by combining lime sherbet and lemon lime soda.
We
made several different treats that everyone could enjoy throughout the
day: Ewok Granola Bars, R2D2 Treats, and Wookie Cookies.
Ewok Granola Bars
When we saw these Ewok Granola Bars,
we knew we wanted to make them. We didn't really add extra fur as we
thought they were already cute and we used chocolate jimmies for the
eyes. A and B made most of these and I thought they came out so cute.
What a great idea from Totally the Bomb!

We
had trouble finding R2D2 treats that looked like R2D2, so we created
our own version. We used Twinkies (for the white version) and Swiss
Rolls (for the chocolate version). The legs are made from various Kit Kats. The white versions are coated with baking chocolate and then
piped with blue and gray frosting.

And a chocolate option for all those chocolate lovers.
When we saw these Chewbacca Treats
from My Thoughts Ideas and Ramblings using Little Debbie Star Crunch
treats, we had to make them. They were super simple and fun. We called
them Wookie Cookies though!
Our Wookie Cookies
For dinner, we picked up a few pizzas for our movie night. We made more Yoda Soda and also served Baby Yoda Deviled Eggs, another great idea from Totally the Bomb.

And somewhere along the way, Stevie Dawg had another photo shoot, this time Star Wars inspired! Enjoy.

The treats look so yummy! You would get along so great with my neighbors. They are all huge Star Wars fans. Happy 4th to you!
