Bible Breakdowns from Teach Sunday School Review

Teach Sunday School offers a variety of Bible study tools like their Bible Breakdowns.  I was so thrilled to receive these digital PDFs that we can use with our entire family!

We received Bible Breakdowns for both the Old Testament and New Testament.  What exactly are Bible Breakdowns?  They are one-page resources for each book in the Bible.  They help you look at chapters, the date the book was written, the period that the book covers, the author, various subjects, etc.  These pages are so helpful for those that want to dig deeper into God's word.  They are excellent for helping anyone approach a Bible study, or more specific book study of the Bible.

Above you can see the Bible Breakdown for the Book of Genesis.

You can easily see the book of Genesis at a glance.  There are 50 chapters in this book.  It was written by Moses ~ 1430 BC.  I love that you can see the subjects covered in the chapters and verses.

This resource also shows you the most popular verses within each book at the bottom of each page.

 

Our church just went through an in depth study of the book of 2 Corinthians.  It has been fun to look at this resource as we dug deeper into what Paul was saying.

 

I am currently reading through the book of Acts and I have really enjoyed having my Bible Breakdown during my study time.

If you are looking for a Bible study resource or even something to help make the Bible less intimidating, Bible Breakdowns are a great option!  I'm looking forward to my teenagers using them throughout this school year as they read through their Bibles.  These are great for both groups and individual study.

The Action Bible Anytime Devotions by David C Cook Review

Our Devotional

The Action Bible Anytime Devotions from David C Cook is a great devotional for your preteen.  I was excited to review this and have it available for A, B and C.  We already own The Action Bible and I thought this would be a great addition.

This devotional invites kids ages 8-12 to dig deeper into God's Word and helps them apply Bible truth to their real life struggles.  It's made to be used anytime, anywhere, and as much as they want.  Topics covered included courage, faith, hope, kindness, love, service, strength, and trust.

There are 90 devotionals in total.  Each devotional is relatively short, two pages.  They can be done daily or you can schedule them out best to your needs.  Although, the thing to remember is it can be used anytime!  Each devotional has an action verse or applicable Bible verse (NIV translation) at the beginning.  It then shares a relatable story and connects it back to the Bible.  There is a prayer or talk to God section.  It ends with a take it further section, showing you what Bible verses you can read to grasp more.  These devotions help strengthen faith in God and help build character.

We already own The Action Bible so it's super easy to add in the "take it further" suggestions.

B Reading a devotional

Just like in The Action Bible, these original illustrations are vivid and engaging.  Kids really relate to  this comic book style devotional.  I'm thrilled to have this for my kids to help build their faith and encourage deep discussions.  We definitely recommend it.

While preteens can read this devotional and use it on their own, I also want to note that this can also be used as a family devotional as well.
