Sambazon Review & Giveaway

Have you heard of Sambazon?  Sambazon offers a full range of fresh and organic juices, smoothies, and frozen products in a variety of delicious and exotic flavors!  Their products are made with premium quality whole food Amazon plants and fruits that deliver the highest bio-available nutrition.  This company is truly dedicated to bringing the next level of nutrition to the world while supporting the environmental and social well-being of the Brazilian Amazon and its people.  Sambazon is both Organic and Fair Trade certified, supporting two million acres of the Amazon Rainforest and over 10,000 family farmers.  How cool is that?

Facts about Sambazon
Sambazon juices and smoothies are made with the finest organic Amazon Superfoods on the planet such as Acai, Acerola, and Yerba Mate.  Their juices and smoothies are available in ten different delicious flavor varieties and packed with antioxidants and healthy omega 3-6-9s.  All Sambazon Superfood juices are NON-GMO, USDA organic, vegan, gluten-free and provide whole food nutrition.  A bottle of Sambazon Superfood juice (10.5 ounces) retails for $2.99.

These are the 3 varieties that I picked!  Acai The Original superfood juice, Acai with Blueberry + Pomegranate superfood juice blend and Blended Breakfast (Strawberry + Banana + Chia + Ancient Grains superfood smoothie)

Here is my Blended Breakfast (in a fancy cup of course)

 Yummy!

While I enjoyed all three, the Blended Breakfast is my favorite thus far!  The flavor is excellent, the texture is perfect (not too thin and not too thick), and it is filling.  The Blended Breakfast is the first beverage to combine whole fruit with ancient grains (like quinoa and amaranth), chia, and Organic/Non-GMO verified soymilk for a smoothie that sustains and nourishes.  This delicious blend is also a good source of fiber (7 g per bottle).

How about a little giveaway?  One winner will receive three free product vouchers, plus a wooden bowl and spoon valued at $45 (pictured above).  Enter the giveaway below and good luck!

Applegate Naturals Product Review & Giveaway

 *** Giveaway Now Closed ***
Congratulations to Country Cookin' Mama and Shelley!

Have you heard of Applegate Naturals?  I was so excited when I was chosen to participate in this Moms Meet campaign.

For more than 25 years, Applegate has been producing high quality hot dogs, bacon, and deli meats with only natural ingredients. “Natural” can mean many things, but when you see it on the label of Applegate deli meats, you know the meat inside is guaranteed to be the real deal. Applegate deli meats are free of antibiotics and hormones; free of artificial ingredients or preservatives; and made from animals fed a vegetarian diet and treated humanely.

Applegate Marinated Black Forest Ham is marinated in sugar and spices and prepared in the tradition of true German Black Forest hams: slow cooked with a hearty smoking. Moist and delicious, each 2-ounce serving of Natural Black Forest Ham provides 10g of protein with only 50 calories and 1.5g of fat. It usually retails for $4.99 but mine was $7.99/package here in Austin.

Applegate Natural Roasted Turkey Breast is low in fat and high in protein.  Plus, it’s free of chemical nitrites and antibiotics. But best of all, it’s delicious! It usually retails for $4.99 but again mine was higher.

Prior to this campaign I had not tried Applegate Natural Deli Meats.  Honestly, I hadn't heard of them or seen them in the store.  I found Applegate at my local Sprouts - so exciting!  So, what did I think?  I tried both the Black Forest Ham and the Turkey Breast.

 The meat I tried.

I really enjoyed them.  I thought they tasted great.  I did not notice any remarkable difference between Applegate and other deli meats but knowing that they are truly a "natural meat" is definitely a plus.  Natural meaning free of antibiotics and hormones, free of artificial ingredients and preservatives, and made from animals fed a vegetarian diet and treated humanely - who doesn't love that?  My biggest concern is not the taste, or quality - both excellent - but the cost.  Both packages of these meats retailed for $7.99 each at my local Sprouts.  That is a significant price increase from what I normally pay.  So, while I will definitely keep these in mind for the future, I would like to see coupons available and of course sales.  I really appreciate that Applegate is a natural company and is making strides and encouraging people to lead a healthier lifestyle.

My awesome Applegate Black Forest Ham Sandwich.

My healthy and creative tip of the day - load your sandwiches with veggies and nutrients.  I almost always eat 100% whole wheat bread and I have discovered that I love vegetables and fruits on sandwiches.  Above is my sandwich containing Applegate Black Forest Ham, organic cheese, green pepper, onion, tomato, avocado, cucumber, spinach and a touch of mayo and mustard - delicious!

Here I am enjoying it with some pistachios.

Crunchmaster Multi-Grain Crackers: Review & Giveaway

 ***Giveaway Now Closed***
Congratulations to Rebecca Kathy M!

Have you heard of Crunchmaster?  Recently, I was selected to sample Crunchmaster Multi-grain crackers through the Moms Meet blogger program.  I received a whole case of these crackers! Crunchmaster crackers are oven baked with a crunchy texture, wheat-free and certified gluten-free, have 21g or more whole grains per serving, a good source of fiber and all natural.

Don't they look delicious?  These are the white cheddar variety.

I was able to try not only the white cheddar, but the sea salt and roasted vegetable flavors as well.  So, what did I think?  I really enjoyed all three!  I really liked the texture of the crackers, they weren't limp and didn't get soggy when used in dips.  My favorite flavor was the roasted vegetable, it had the most tange.  The other two flavors were more subtle but still really enjoyeable.  I not only ate the crackers plain but also with avacodos!  That is my favorite way to eat a cracker!  I normally buy basic wheat crackers in a box that do not have a flavor so it was a nice change to eat these crackers with their different flavors.  I also dig the resealable packaging, nice with kiddos around.

If you have never done this it is delicious!

I told you what I thought, what about the kids.  They liked them as well.  And I can safely say that D loved them as she polished off a bag of her own.

Enjoying the roasted vegetable

 Big bite

Wanna try these yourself??

Now, onto the giveaway.  One person will receive a case of Crunchmaster Multi-Grain Crackers - that's twelve bags of crackers!

Kashi Peanutty Dark Chocolate Granola Bars Product Review

Have you ever heard of Kashi?

Kashi is a small company that has been around for over 25 years.  They were founded and have remained a 7 whole grain company - love that!  Kashi makes a number of products including hot cereal, cold cereal, crackers, snack bars, pizza, waffles, and cookies just to name a few.  Their products are natural and minimally processed (free of highly refined sugars, artificial additives & preservatives).

I am blessed to be a part of a group called Moms Meet, an online resource that empowers Moms to discuss raising healthy families and living green!  In addition to having great articles and discussion topic, they offer exciting opportunities for Mom Ambassadors and their groups to sample the latest healthy, green products.  I have now been upgraded to a Mom Ambassador Blogger.  Would you like to be a Mom Ambassador or Mom Ambassador Blogger - click here to join.

I was selected to sample Kashi's Peanutty Dark Chocolate Granola Bars with my family and my Mom's group (my Mommy friends and their families as well).  What did we think?  Loved them!  My kiddos woofed them down and begged for more.  All the Moms loved the high protein and fiber content.  Can you believe that one bar has 7g of fiber and 4g of protein?  Amazing!  Other children commented that they were not just snack bars but treats.  There is one peanut allergy and one soy/dairy allergy in this group of friends so they didn't get to try the bars, that was probably the biggest downside. If you haven't tried these bars yet I would highly recommend them.

 Sampling the product...

Yum!
