Homemade Sidewalk Chalk Paint

G with our sidewalk balloons

Yesterday we made homemade sidewalk chalk, or sidewalk paint really.  We used equal parts corn starch and water.  It makes a nice white liquid when mixed together.  We poured our mix into a number of Dixie cups and then used various food coloring to make different colors.  We also left one of the cups white.  We used foam paint brushes and had fun making creations in our driveway and on our sidewalk.  Enjoy!

Our Chalk Family

Can you spot the bunny that Stevie is chasing?

It was a lovely day yesterday and the kids wanted to play outside so we spent most of the afternoon in our front yard.  The kids rode bikes, scooters, and made themselves into chalk people.  Enjoy!
