Purex Crystals ScentSplash Review & Giveaway

You guys now that I have reviewed Purex Crystals in the past (here and here), did you know that they have New Purex Crystals in liquid form?  Yep, the new Purex Crystals ScentSplash is an in-wash fragrance booster that helps add freshness to your clothes.  Simply add the liquid directly into your washer or wash tray!  You decide how much - a little or a lot, although, Purex recommends at least a half capful.  And of course, this is safe for all wash fabrics including towels, activewear and children's sleepwear.  Purex Crystals ScentSplash is available in three scents: Fresh Spring Waters, Fresh Lavender Blossom, and Fresh Mountain Breeze.

You can add it directly into your washer or in your wash tray.  I have a tray.

I have been using the Fresh Spring Waters Purex ScentSplash and it smells wonderful.  I  have actually been using it with Purex Unscented Free and Clear detergent because I wanted to really get a sense for the scent of the ScentSplash itself!  And really, you don't need a full capful in my opinion - a half capful works great.  So if your laundry needs a boost of freshness, I would recommend trying the new Purex Crystals ScentSplash - easy peasy freshness.  Keep reading for a chance to win a bottle!

New Purex Crystals Aromatherapy Review & $10 Gift Card Giveaway

It's about that time again!  The time for me to tell you about one of the latest Purex products.  As a Purex Insider I was able to try the new Purex Crystals Aromatherapy scent infusions.  Purex Crystals Aromatherapy comes in three different scents - Well Being (fragrance of fresh blossoms), Energy (citrus) and Serenity (gentle scent of water-lilies).

How do you use Purex Crystals Aromatherapy?  Simply add your Purex Crystals into the washer's tub at the beginning of the wash to supplement your laundry detergent.  The Crystals will permeate your clothing with an aroma that will last much longer than a few days, more like weeks!

You already know that I have six children and as a family of 8 we generate a lot of laundry.  Sometimes I feel as though our dirty laundry breeds :).  I know it doesn't but it sure feels like it.  I have been using my new Crystals for the last several weeks in at least 30 loads of laundry.

So, what do I think of them?  I really like the smell or aroma.  I thought it might be a bit strong at first when I added them to my first load but it wasn't.  The Energy variety is not overly citrus but I can smell the citrus vibe.  My clothes came out fresh and clean with a nice aroma - not overpowering but strong enough to notice.  I really like that the Purex Crystals are safe to use on towels, active wear, sleepwear, etc.  And I found the aroma to last longer as stated.  Now, I am not really sure if it lasts weeks and weeks because remember we are a household of 8 and our laundry doesn't sit around without use - we use it!  I am extra excited that these are safe on my work out gear and my towels always seem to need extra refreshing so this is perfect.

First Stitches

Well, it seems like it was bound to happen sooner or later with six kiddos.  C had to get stitches last night, 3 of them.  He was accidentally hit in the head with a baseball bat by a teammate prior to his game.  It was totally an accident, nobody is blaming anyone - yet it bugs me that it was preventable.  He ended up having a CT scan and everything checked out just fine, he just keeps the stitches for 5 days.  C's attitude has been great through it all, although I don't envy him the headache he surely has.

If you get a chance to pray for him these next few days as the wound closes, we certainly appreciate it.

My shirt and his shirt as well as his Jersey were covered in blood for hours.  I won't scare you with the before-cleanup horror picture!  Anyway, I couldn't believe it when I saw them today completely clean.  David hand scrubbed them in the sink with water and Purex Crystals, then ran them through the wash, and got the stains out.  I had no idea Purex worked on blood stains, good to know!

I wanted to tell you about the latest Purex product I have been using, the new Purex Crystals Dryer Sheets.  It comes in two scents: fresh spring waters and lavender blossom.

Now, I know these may look like every dryer sheet out there but I want you to know that they are not.  They have an amazing scent.  In fact, I could smell them before I even opened the box.  Not only is the scent great but with such great strength you only need to use one per load.

I personally found that they still have a pleasant scent after being used only to a much lesser degree.  I still put them in the bottom of my trash cans to freshen them up!  I love that there are multiple ways to use these dryer sheets.

Purex Crystals Fabulously Fresh Review, Sweepstakes and Giveaway

I really enjoyed the scent of my clothes after using these Crystals.  I hate to sound cliche but they smelled fabulously fresh.  I suppose that is how they came up with the name.  And the fact that you can use them on all loads including athletic wear and children's sleepwear is pretty amazing.  With six young children, it is nice to have laundry products that are safe to use on their clothing as well as David's running gear.

Purex Crystals Review & Giveaway
