Congratulations to Naomi!
What is joy? I think about happiness. I think about a baby lying in a manger, the light of the world. And I am joyful. I am in awe of all that He has done.
I love the Redeemed Collection from DaySpring and the fact that they have expanded the line to include Christmas items makes my heart happy.
My new Share the Joy Apron.
I love the colors, the pattern and the ruffle at the bottom.
Christmas is really my favorite time of year. I love the sights, the smells - the lights, the music, the baking...and the freedom. The freedom that ultimately comes because a baby was brought into this world so long ago on Christmas morning.
We have several Christmas traditions here in our home. One tradition is our baking! Our whole family loves to bake and share our goodies with family and friends.
The girls mixing in the dates and pecans!
Isn't that one of the beauties of walking with Him? That we can share His love, share His joy with others. I have often thought of cookies as a practical way to share God's love with others.
Date Nut Rock Cookies - our family cookie
This stems from my college days, when some new friends and a chocolate chip cookie led me to the Lord who captured my heart! Sure, I knew about God before but I didn't "know" Him.
Ready to Share the Joy!
It is my desire that these cookies would not only bless others but also lead them to the one that saves! Now onto the giveaway! DaySpring and (in)courage have generously offered one of you a Share the Joy Apron & Advent Tabletop Devotional!

If someone or something (in this case, someone) is redeemed by Christ it means that person (me) has been bought back...at a price. Jesus is the Lamb of God, the One that took upon all of my sin when He, himself, didn't know sin and was perfect. To be redeemed ultimately means that He loved me so much, that he was willing to pay the price of His own life in order to gain mine. Thanks be to God!
