G had so much fun and I'm so glad we had a chance to celebrate him with a party!  We love you G!!

Happy 14th Birthday C

 

Now 14!

When we asked C what he wanted to do for his birthday he wasn't sure but he finally decided on bowling.  He and 11 of his friends had a great time this weekend bowling, eating pizza/drinks, and playing in an arcade.  I'm so thankful to all of them for coming and celebrating C as he turned 14.

David and the other kids and I were able to bowl in the lane next to all the boys.  Apparently, it was the first time for several of my kids to bowl so that was super fun.  I think F was the first one to get a strike (with bumpers).

I’m so thankful to have such a sensitive and kind son.  I love watching C play baseball ⚾️ and we both share a love for corny jokes 😆.  I wonder if he will be taller than me next year?  Time will tell...

Happy Birthday Stevie Dawg

We are celebrating a big birthday today - Stevie Dawg! 🐶  Some of us think he is 9 while others (me) think he is 10.  One thing is for certain, he’s been with us for 7 years and we love him to pieces!  Happy Birthday Stevie!!  Check out all his birthday fun.

Stevie even got to paint!  The kids and I put paint blobs onto several canvases.  We then put them inside of Ziploc bags that were covered in peanut butter.  We put them down on the ground and as Stevie licked the peanut butter off the bag, he created a few masterpieces.  This was super fun and Stevie loved it!

And his 3rd.  I think this was his best work!

 

Stevie got to go on several drives, which is his absolute favorite.

 

We had hot dogs for dinner (even Stevie).

 

And of course, Stevie's cake (celebrating the 7 years we have had him)!

Happy 43rd Birthday David

David finally caught up to me and turned 43 over the weekend!  We actually got to go on a little adventure and attend a family wedding.  It was so nice to see some familiar faces and the wedding was absolutely beautiful {Congrats Brent & Tara}.  While we were gone the kids made David an 8 layered birthday cake!  They did an amazing job and it taste delicious 😏.  Inside they had 8 different shades of blue and I thought it came out so well.  It was fun to celebrate David as a family when we returned home!

David also enjoyed an Italian Cream Cake on his birthday right before the wedding {thanks Jane!}.

Happy 17th Birthday A {Jewelry Cake}

A turned 17 on Friday!  In one year she will be a legal adult.  When possible, the kids are given a school holiday on their birthday so she had a relaxing day.  We had donuts and kolaches for breakfast and we picked Tex-Mex for dinner, yum!  We celebrated her with a small jewelry party yesterday.  I love how the cake turned out.

F turned 7 on Monday!  David took the day off work and we had so much fun as a family playing games, hanging out and celebrating F.  He wanted a Star Wars themed party :).

We had Princess Leia cinnamon rolls for breakfast, hot dogs with mac and cheese for lunch (F's favorite) and Wendy's for dinner.

Mystery Birthday Cakes {Surprise Birthday Cakes}

As you know, B and D have both had their birthdays!!  We made mystery cakes or surprise cakes for them and I thought I'd share them with you.

 

Above is D's cake.  It was strawberry flavored and contained a surprise but she didn't know about it till we cut into it.

 

What was the surprise for her?  M&Ms!  One of her favorite candies.
