Stevie Dawg Tribute

It is with a heavy heart that I announce that our beloved rescue dog, Stevie (affectionately referred to as Stevie Dawg here) passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24th at home.  He was so loved and the house has felt so empty without him.  I'm so thankful for the 9 1/2 years we had with him and all the memories.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Bluebonnets

The bluebonnets are out and blooming in Texas!  It's been a few years since I got some good photos of the kids in the bluebonnets so I made sure to get a few this week.  Enjoy!

Gratitude

Cold weather is not so bad when you don't lose power or water!  I'm so grateful that during this ice storm we kept both this year.  I think Stevie Dawg is enjoying the fire as well.  Hope you are staying warm and safe!

Dog Days of Summer

It feels like the "dog days of summer" to me.  Those hot and lazy days.  It felt like one of those weekends - hope you had a great one and you are ready to head into your week.  I feel a day or two behind 😉.

Happy Birthday Stevie Dawg

We are celebrating a big birthday today - Stevie Dawg! 🐶  Some of us think he is 9 while others (me) think he is 10.  One thing is for certain, he’s been with us for 7 years and we love him to pieces!  Happy Birthday Stevie!!  Check out all his birthday fun.

Typical birthday around here, chicken minis for breakfast!

Stevie & The Kids

Party Animals

Stevie even got to paint!  The kids and I put paint blobs onto several canvases.  We then put them inside of Ziploc bags that were covered in peanut butter.  We put them down on the ground and as Stevie licked the peanut butter off the bag, he created a few masterpieces.  This was super fun and Stevie loved it!

This was Stevie's 1st painting.

And this was his 2nd.

And his 3rd.  I think this was his best work!

Stevie got to go on several drives, which is his absolute favorite.

We had hot dogs for dinner (even Stevie).

And of course, Stevie's cake (celebrating the 7 years we have had him)!

Happy Birthday Stevie Dawg - we love you so much!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Quarantine Dog Photo Shoot {Round 2}

Stevie Dawg is back with a few new looks!  You may remember his first photo shoot in April.  Everyone had so much fun we decided to have another round.  Enjoy the photos!  Stevie Dawg may or may not have received a lot of treats for cooperating 😃.

Stevie Dawg Obstacle Challenge {2 Levels}

Stevie Dawg Getting Ready For His Obstacle Challenge

Have you seen the videos of various pets attempting obstacle challenges?  The kids and I have watched a few and we thought it would be fun to put Stevie Dawg to the test.  Watch Stevie in action below.  Did he perform like you thought?

Dog Mash Personalized Socks from Printsfield Review

Have you heard of Printsfield?  They make personalized socks with any face on them!  They have a variety of custom sock collections to choose from including love, dog, cat, family, food, etc.

Order personalized socks with any face on them!

Custom Sock Collections

I was blessed to try out a pair of their socks for myself.  I knew that I wanted to order a pair with Stevie Dawg's face on them!  There were several options available but I liked the Dog Mash the best so that's what I chose.

Above you can see some of the dog lover options available.

Dog Mash Options

For the Dog Mash pattern you can choose just 1 face, 2 different faces or 3 different faces.  The price increases slightly for each additional face.  I chose just 1 face.  There are also 3 different sizes available - Small, Medium and Large.  I chose the Large size because I wanted them bigger.

Here's the photo I uploaded of Stevie.

 And here are my socks!

Another view with one turned over so you can see the black toes and heels.

Wearing my new "Stevie Dawg" socks.

 These are so fun!

These socks are super comfortable which is a huge plus.  I'm glad that I went with the larger size because I wanted them to be bigger, so take that into account if you want your socks to be smaller you will want to order a S or M.  I think M is the most popular size.  My socks have vertical ribbing (vertical lines) which is more prominent when wearing my socks but I think they still look good.  Overall I'm super pleased with my new socks!  I was worried about how they would hold up in the washing machine but they did fine.  I haven't had any issues with my socks and they are definitely a fun addition to have around.

Would you like to try out Printsfield for yourself?  I have a discount code just for you, use cumminslife20 at checkout for a 20% discount on anything on their site.  Let me know if you get anything!

Disclosure:  Printsfield sent me a pair of dog mash personalized socks in exchange for my honest review.  All opinions are my own.

Quarantine Dog Photo Shoot

 Quarantine Stevie

Today, the kids and I decided to have a fun quarantine photo shoot with Stevie Dawg.  And I actually think he had fun!  He enjoyed the many, many treats anyway.  We hope you enjoy this as much as we did.  And just for clarification, Stevie Dawg was not hurt in any way during this photo shoot 😃.
