B's Baptism

I'm so proud of B!  She made the decision to get baptized today.  Our church had a picnic and baptism event and it was so fun.  When we arrived home, we had new flowers blooming in our yard - so excited for new life!

David got to baptize her.

Coming out of the water...

Yay

David was able to say a prayer over her!

The youth were there to give her hugs and support her.

F with mostly blue color!

Today my F turned 5.  Oh, how I love this adventurous boy of ours.  He loves to have fun.  To celebrate our family had a Just Add Color Party and had a blast.

Me when I turned 41!

Instead of my birthday back in October where the kids just colored me, our whole family got colored for F's 5th!

We were sent the Just Add Color Mega Pak!

This package is pretty complete and includes 5 lbs of purple color, 5 lbs of pink color, 5 lbs of blue color, 3 powder paintbrushes, 6 color bonkers and 2 color blasters.  It also includes a color party guide which has lots of information and ideas to help you make your party a complete success!

Happy Holidays 2018

The kids in their new PJs Christmas Eve!

I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas break.  Our family is looking forward to staying up late tonight playing games and possibly watching a few movies!  I am really looking forward to 2019 and a better year!  All in all 2018 was a pretty rough year for me personally but I am grateful to be here and excited that 2019 is fast approaching.  Cheers to you and be safe tonight!  Enjoy a few pictures from our recent break.

Meet Twilight - the newest addition

B got a hamster for Christmas.  David and I wrapped up a cage, water bottle, bowl, and a few fun toys for her to open.  She went the next day to pick her out.  She picked out a female, black bear hamster and named her Twilight.  She is super sweet and likes to be around people and noise - yay!

E's Bike Party

E's Bike Cake

Yesterday, we finally had E's bike party.  Another family tradition of ours.  To get a bike party you have to be able to start your bike, stop your bike, and ride your bike without training wheels and without assistance.  The weather was great and we went to a local park to ride bikes, eat cake and celebrate E's milestone.  Love this girl!

Goodbye Grandma/Great Grandma

Mary Lou Cummins

David's beloved grandma and great grandma to our kids passed away a few days ago at the age of 93.  We loved her a lot, and she loved us.  She was one of those people that just radiated joy and her smile lit up the room.  You just couldn't help but be happy when you were around her.  She suffered a stroke a few years before David and I were married at the age of 74.  I actually had only met grandma once pre-stroke.  She wasn't expected to make it and she did.  Her life changed a lot.  She wasn't able to walk or talk much and had to find creative ways to communicate.  I am so glad our kids had a chance to meet her and get to know her and vice versa.  I wouldn't trade that.  As I hug my kids a little tighter and think back on many, many wonderful memories with grandma I ask you to do something in her honor - Be Happy, Choose Joy - that was something that grandma was a master at.

My Emoji Party

Emoji Angel Food Cake

I am officially 39!  I haven't jumped over to the 40s yet but I am less than year away now.  David and the kids planned an emoji themed party for me on Saturday and it was so much fun!  I loved the homemade decorations and cards that the kids made, they were so creative.

I love this crew so much!  Check out D's emoji face.

Presents!

The kids used yellow balloons and a sharpie and went to work creating emoji balloons.  I love how they turned out.

Here you can see that they taped them to Mason Jars to hold them up.

 Themed plates from Walmart

I am scheduled to have gall bladder surgery on November 4th and I have to be super careful with my diet right now or I end up having a terribly painful abdominal episode.  I thought it was so sweet that David made me an angel food cake, which is safe for me to eat :).  Enjoy the photos!

 My slice of cake

A little blurry but I have to include a photo of me - now 39!

D and B are talking about having an Emoji themed party in December.  It's up to them but I hope they do.  It's a theme in which you cannot help but smile!
