Our table is scattered with "sweet" treats, fun notes and little gifts for each member of our family.  It is easy to look at it and see how much each of us are loved.

 

A made me a paper version of my Ivy plant that I have had longer than I've been married, named Ivan.  I adore it.

I'm so grateful for times like this, to pause and take note - and remember the many blessings that I have on a daily basis right before my eyes.  I hope you have an amazing Valentine's Day!

Hope you had a great Valentine's Day!  We enjoyed heart shaped pizzas for lunch and had a fun day together as a family.  I especially enjoyed all the cards, special treats and gifts the kids gave each other 💗.

Happy Valentine's Day!  We have had way too much sugar over here but it has been a fun day filled with games, friends, and family.  I hope you and yours had a fabulous day.

 G's Valentines that he made to give out to his CoOp friends and siblings, they were animals.

G had a shark themed Valentines box.  You can see it filled with his goodies.

E made a unicorn themed box and handed out unicorn Valentines.  D made her own box as well and handed out similar llama Valentines and sixlets.

 B gave out various finger puppets.

 And A made some cute puffballs.  One of the heart antennas was MIA when I took this photo.

You might remember that we had a saran ball game at A's 16th birthday party.  Only A and B participated so the younger kids have been begging me to make another one for them sometime.  David and I surprised them with a Valentine's themed saran ball.  So now, all the kids have officially played this game and it was a hit.

Happy Valentine's Day 2017

I love homeschooling my kiddos.  Yesterday we were able to attend the Austin Area Homeschoolers Valentine's Day party which is such a fun event.  This is our second year to attend and the kids have so much fun making Valentine's Day boxes and valentines to hand out to all the homeschoolers.

A loves all things Star Wars lately so she choose to make an R2D2 "trash can" Valentine's Day box and Star Wars inspired valentines with Smartie light sabers.

B loves all things emoji lately so she choose to make an emoji Valentine's Day box and emoji valentines with heart candy eyes!

C with his box.

C chose to make dinosaur valentines with jokes.  We purchased a bulk bag of plastic dinosaurs on Amazon and they worked perfectly.  I found this fun 3D puffy dinosaur sticker set at Walmart for C to use to decorate his box.

D chose to make rock valentines.  We ended up having to hot glue the eyes because the sticker jewels did not want to stick on their own.  However, the heart mouths did just find on their own!  She used the extra rocks to decorate her box.

E with her box.

E made valentine's with erasers on them.  We bought 12 packs for $1 at Dollar Tree!  We also purchased jewel stickers and heart wrapping paper for her to decorate her box with.

I found some cute puffy stickers in the dollar section of Target and F gave these out this year.  A and B helped him make a fun box with wrapping paper and markers.

He loved that they puffed out.

Baby G at the Valentine's Day party!

We had such a fun morning.  We always decorate the table for the kids on Valentine's Day with special surprises and David usually makes a yummy treat for breakfast.  This year, the older kids, had some surprises of their own.  A and B bought everyone plush and made special heart cards along with decorations and confetti.  I thought they did such a great job.  Even C make everyone a homemade card and he gave everyone their age in cents - I thought that was awesome.

Valentine's Ideas and Fun

The kids and I were able to attend two homeschool Valentine's Day parties this week.  The first event was open to homeschoolers in Austin while the second event was specifically for our enrichment co-op that we are starting in a few weeks (which I am super excited about).  My oldest five kiddos made their own boxes and 50 Valentine's each for the first party, phew!  And I picked up a really fun heart shaped cookie cutter from Family Christian last week.  I have been having fun with our lunches and snacks.

 B went for a robot theme.  I love the eyes and arms.

I don't have a great photo of C's box, but his is the basket right there with the heart balloons.  He tied them together to make a hot air balloon.

For some reason I do not have photos of D and E's boxes but D's is decorated as a super hero with a felt cape and E's is covered in heart and bug stickers.

 D's valentines were super hero lollipops.

 We have also made butter and jelly toast.

It doesn't have to be Valentine's Day to use this cutter or have some fun with your kids.  I have a feeling this will be used a lot in our home.  Hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
