Level 6 Gymnastics
Level 6 is in the books for D and what a season! She was suppose to compete at State last week and 2 days prior she ended up spraining her ankle. While we were all bummed for her, we are so thrilled with the amazing season she had and all that she accomplished. Way to go D, we are so proud!

D's Meet Season (Level 6 Gymnastics)
We are so beyond thrilled for D. After overcoming 2 elbow surgeries in the same year (January 2021 for one elbow and November 2021 for the other) for OCD, Osteochondritis dissecans, she is finally able to compete a meet season! It's hard missing several in a row. We are so proud of her dedication and all the work she put in and I truly believe she is stronger because of it. It is a blast seeing her compete again.
At her 1st Meet (Texas Shootout) she received 1st for Bars, Beam, Vault and All Around, and 3rd on floor! Check it out below.
At her 2nd Meet (Houston National Invitational or HNI) she received 1st for Bars, Beam, All Around, 3rd on Vault and 5th on floor (and her All Around score was higher than the 1st meet).

Support D and her Gymnastics Team
Hello
everyone! Most of you know that D is involved in competitive
gymnastics. The last two seasons have been challenging as D had to miss
due to surgeries. I'm truly amazed at her determination and hard work! We are excited about this upcoming season and getting to watch her
routines again. D and her gymnastics team are raising money to help off
set monthly dues and meet fees! She has a personal goal to raise $500+
to help support her and her teammates. Please consider donating, no
gift is too small. Go here to check it out - thanks!

Whale Drawing
D was trying to decide what she wanted to create for art yesterday so she began looking around our schoolroom and decided to draw a whale, inspired by one of our storage holders. I love the way it turned out. Enjoy!

Happy 11th Birthday D
Happy 11th birthday to our lovely D! She brings so much joy to our lives and our family is truly blessed through her. She is a rainbow baby that has brought so much healing to my heart and soul.
It’s been a tough few months with a weird elbow injury for her. There wasn’t a specific “incident” which made diagnosis trickier but she was finally diagnosed with Osteochondritis dissecans or OCD for short. It’s a condition that often affects baseball players and gymnasts. D will be out for this gymnastics meet season and to say that she is bummed is an understatement. She may require surgery but that’s unknown at the moment. Please pray for full recovery and wisdom for her and us as we navigate this injury. We truly covet your prayers! In other news, D got her braces off a few days ago so woohoo!

Level 5 Gymnastics
Even though D has been training for Level 5 gymnastics for a few months, she competed her last Level 4 Meet last weekend - which makes her officially, officially Level 5! I'm so proud of her and how hard she has worked. She came home with 3 medals - all around, floor and beam.
Below you will see a video of her doing back handsprings at practice today (she was able to do 7 in a row before she ran out of room on the gym floor).

D's Mock Meet 2019
D had a mock meet at her gym this morning. I was able to see all of her level 4 routines for this competition season. It was so fun to see all the girls as they prepare for the beginning of their meet season which starts in 2 weeks! She did really well on all the events. We should get her scores on Monday.

B and D's Holiday Birthday Party
B and D had their "Holiday" themed birthday party yesterday and it was so much fun. We had an amazing turnout and I'm so thankful to everyone who was able to celebrate the girls near and far. We had lots of games set up around the house for all the kids to enjoy and we set up the volleyball net in the backyard for anyone who wanted to play. We put up Christmas paper on a wall in our home and set up a photo booth with props and holiday themed headbands. Enjoy the photos.

Happy 9th Birthday D
Today my D is 9! She is such a fun girl to have and she is such an old soul. We just returned from our 2 week trip up North and this girl did handstands and bridges the whole way through. I just love her! Happy Birthday D!

D's 1st Gymnastics Meet
D had her first ever gymnastics meet yesterday. I'm so proud of this girl! When we moved in June, it was best for D to switch gyms. We were so happy when she was offered a spot on the team at her new gym. She started learning the routines right away (most girls have been learning them since January). And 2 months later, D competed in her first meet. I'm so proud of how well she did. She cam in 5th overall and had a great time. Keep up the good work D!
