Level 6 Gymnastics

Level 6 is in the books for D and what a season!  She was suppose to compete at State last week and 2 days prior she ended up spraining her ankle.  While we were all bummed for her, we are so thrilled with the amazing season she had and all that she accomplished.  Way to go D, we are so proud!

Support D and her Gymnastics Team

Hello everyone! Most of you know that D is involved in competitive gymnastics.  The last two seasons have been challenging as D had to miss due to surgeries.  I'm truly amazed at her determination and hard work!  We are excited about this upcoming season and getting to watch her routines again.  D and her gymnastics team are raising money to help off set monthly dues and meet fees!  She has a personal goal to raise $500+ to help support her and her teammates.  Please consider donating, no gift is too small.  Go here to check it out - thanks!

Level 5 Gymnastics

D at her last Level 4 Gymnastics Meet!

Even though D has been training for Level 5 gymnastics for a few months, she competed her last Level 4 Meet last weekend - which makes her officially, officially Level 5!  I'm so proud of her and how hard she has worked.  She came home with 3 medals - all around, floor and beam.

Below you will see a video of her doing back handsprings at practice today (she was able to do 7 in a row before she ran out of room on the gym floor).

Weekend Fun

D at North State

D competed at North State for level 4 gymnastics this weekend.  I'm so proud of her.  She had her best meet this season with 3 scores in the 9's.  I love this girl and her passion for the sport.

F had his last soccer game of the Fall.  I'm so proud of my team, the Honey Badgers.  I'm sad I missed our last game (I was driving D to State) but it sounds like it was amazing.  We have our end of season party this Wednesday and I'm looking forward to seeing the kids for one last hurrah!

B's Volleyball Team - Blue Lightning

I was able to help coach B's volleyball team bright and early Saturday morning.  I think her team is steadily improving and I love that B shows up to play 110% every week.  I couldn't ask for more.

We had a great visit this weekend with Mumma and Puppa.

Mumma took this photo so I could be in it.

We all went to see Uncle Kent perform his 70 years of magic show, it was fantastic!  Hope your weekend was great!

D's Masquerade District Gymnastics Meet

Headed to the competition!

D had her first "official" gymnastics meet for the season as a Level 4P gymnast.  She did very well.  I thought she had some solid routines and after watching her videos back, she was able to identify some areas to improve to get her scores even higher.  She was awarded a medal on bars (6th place), beam (8th place) and for the all-around (8th place).  Here's to a great meet season D!

D's Mock Meet 2019

D ready to compete

D had a mock meet at her gym this morning.  I was able to see all of her level 4 routines for this competition season.  It was so fun to see all the girls as they prepare for the beginning of their meet season which starts in 2 weeks!  She did really well on all the events.  We should get her scores on Monday.

I'm getting pretty good at the gymnastics bun!

Happy 9th Birthday D

D when she turned 1

Today my D is 9!  She is such a fun girl to have and she is such an old soul.  We just returned from our 2 week trip up North and this girl did handstands and bridges the whole way through.  I just love her!  Happy Birthday D!

D's 1st Gymnastics Meet

D about to head to her first gymnastics meet!

Team Jacket

D had her first ever gymnastics meet yesterday.  I'm so proud of this girl!  When we moved in June, it was best for D to switch gyms.  We were so happy when she was offered a spot on the team at her new gym.  She started learning the routines right away (most girls have been learning them since January).  And 2 months later, D competed in her first meet.  I'm so proud of how well she did.  She cam in 5th overall and had a great time.  Keep up the good work D!

Our Time with Stretch

D getting Stretch

D has been participating in gymnastics for awhile, she loves the sport.  In January she joined her gym's Showteam and she enjoys every minute of it.  She spends 8 hours a week learning and training.  Last week the girls performed in their gym's Showcase and it was so fun to see how much they have all grown and improved in their skill levels.  The team has a mascot.  It's a giant giraffe.  Most weeks the coaches choose a team member who has done really well for the week to take the giraffe home and hang out with until the following week.  D was chosen last week to take the mascot home.  She was so excited!  Especially since Baby G had his giraffe themed birthday party the next day - how perfect.  D wants to name the giraffe Stretch so that is what we call her, at least our family.
