Fundraiser for B's National Volleyball Trip

Beverly was blessed to make the Austin Royals Varsity Volleyball this year as a Junior!  With this, she will be headed to the Homeschool National Volleyball Tournament in Iowa at the end of October.  She is super excited and she is raising funds to help her get there.

She has a post-it note fundraiser if you are interested in helping her reach her goal.  All you do is choose a number for an amount that you’d like to support her with.  So if you would like to give $3, you would send her that and she would remove the post-it for that amount (3).  No amount is too small!

How to pay?  If you see us personally you can give cash or check (made out to Beverly Cummins), you can mail a check, or you can give through Venmo (please make a note that says Beverly Nationals).  For those wondering, all funds go directly to Bev for her Nationals trip.  Venmo information below.

We appreciate your time and consideration.   I’m attaching a short video so you can see Bev (#15) play and what you are supporting, she loves the sport so much! GO ROYALS!

Support D and her Gymnastics Team

Hello everyone! Most of you know that D is involved in competitive gymnastics.  The last two seasons have been challenging as D had to miss due to surgeries.  I'm truly amazed at her determination and hard work!  We are excited about this upcoming season and getting to watch her routines again.  D and her gymnastics team are raising money to help off set monthly dues and meet fees!  She has a personal goal to raise $500+ to help support her and her teammates.  Please consider donating, no gift is too small.  Go here to check it out - thanks!

Texas Burn Survivor Society Camp David Fundraising

The kids at Camp David last year, 2018.

I cannot say enough good things about the Texas Burn Survivor Society and how much they have meant to our family!  This summer will mark A, B and C's 3rd year to attend their annual burn camp and D's 2nd year.  For those that don't know, Camp David is a week of adventure designed specifically for pediatric burn survivors age 7 to 16.  It's also a unique camp because it includes siblings of burn survivors whose lives are also impacted by burn injury.  I'm sharing a fundraiser link to help raise money for this incredible group.  The kids have a goal of raising $500 but anything helps.  Please do not feel pressure from me to give.  This is just an opportunity...and I can say firsthand that it's a good one.  You can visit our page here.  Thanks!

Fundraising for Burn Camp 2018

This Saturday will be the 2 year anniversary of Audrey and Beverly's burn accident.  As hard as this journey has been, I am so thankful and grateful for so much, especially our family and friends!  A is officially on her last pair of medical compression garments, they have been a second skin for her for so long.

Camp David 2017

A, B and C were able to attend the Texas Burn Survivor Summer Camp last year (it's an amazing camp for burn survivors and their siblings - a safe place for kids to just be kids). Due to funding issues this year they are asking campers to raise funds.  A, B, C and D are hoping to go this summer.  I am putting the link here to share with everyone.  Please do not feel any pressure from me.  This is just an opportunity.  If you do donate, I can promise you that this is an amazing organization and my family has benefited greatly from them and I am so thankful they exist.

Teespring Review

Have you heard of Teespring?  It is a crowdfunding platform for groups, causes and communities to design and sell custom apparel.

Anyone can design a shirt (using your own design or choosing from the 1,000s of graphics provided) which can then be sold via facebook, twitter, or anywhere on-line.  The profits are sent to the seller.  Teespring can be used as a fundraising tool or just to earn some extra cash.

The seller decides a set date and therefore determines when the shirts print and ship.  This allows the seller to pay nothing upfront and take no risks.  Pretty cool huh?  Here's the deal: if the minimum goal is not reached, the shirts will not be printed and the buyers will not be charged.

 Here is my shirt design.

I just launched my own campaign called Live Simply Give Generously which can be viewed here.

I was impressed with all the options available.  There are three different shirt choices to choose from - Hanes Tagless Tee (which I chose), Canvas Ringspun Tee and the American Apparel Crew.  Not to mention numerous color choices - I went with a more neutral color (Ash) in hopes of appealing to a wider audience.  And the designing, they allow you to upload your own graphic or choose from the many available (and there are many!).

Next you set a goal.

You set a price for each shirt that will meet your goal.  In this photo if 50 tees are sold, then $165 would be raised for my cause.  I love the way that this site is set up - extremely user friendly.

Finally, launch your campaign.

One of the hardest things for me to figure out was what campaign I wanted to launch.  I knew that I wanted it to be about giving and that I wanted to give 100% of the proceeds away but that was it.  It has been such a joy to watch how excited my kids have been to raise money for shoes for children in Ethiopia that I decided to launch a campaign and give the proceeds to that cause - why not?

I am not sure if my campaign will make, I need to sell at least 50 shirts but I am excited about this opportunity and I really hope it does!  The opportunities are really endless.

Ready to launch your own campaign?  Just go to teespring.com/design to get started.

Disclosure: Thanks so much to Sverve and Teespring for selecting me to participate in this campaign.  Compensation was provided.  All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
